I’ve always felt more like Martha than Mary. Thanks for explaining it so well. Sometimes I have to force myself to be still and know that He is God. Spending time in the Word brings me closer to him.
Sometimes it is hard for us priests to take the time. That is why we are obligated by our vows to take time throughout the day to pray the office. But even that can sometimes be rushed and overly-regimented. That is why it is important, even for us “busy” priests to make time each day to stop, reflect and listen to God’s movement and guidance.
